How to Remove the Stand From the Sony KDL-32VL140

Sony's KDL 32-inch flat-screen television comes with a stand packaged in the box with the actual TV. This stand can be attached to the bottom with included metal screws, allowing you to prop the television up on a table or stand in your home. If you decide that you'd rather hang your flat-screen television on a wall, you will have to first remove the stand from the bottom of the unit. Does this Spark an idea?

Turn off your Sony flat-screen TV and unplug it from the wall.

Turn your Sony television around so that you can see the back panel.

Use a screwdriver to remove the three screws that are holding the stand onto the base of the TV.

Lift upward on the television. At the same time, have another person pull downward on the TV stand. The stand and the main base unit of the TV will separate.
