Fun Things to Do in Vegas for People Under 21

If you're under 21, you may have a tough time finding things to do in Las Vegas. Being underage means you can't gamble, drink or enter most of the city's famed bars, nightclubs and adult-oriented showrooms. However, there are some fun activities---including an amusement park and plenty of arcades---that are big draws for the kids and young adults who visit Las Vegas.

GameWorks

This club-like video arcade is located on the Las Vegas Strip next to the MGM Grand. All the newest and most popular video games---including Razing Storm and Dance Dance Revolution---are housed here. There are also sports-themed games and virtual bowling, as well as pool tables, old-fashioned air hockey and a 75-foot climbing wall. The Glacier Bar even serves up fun, frozen nonalcoholic drinks.

ESPN Zone

This sports-themed restaurant is packed with fun for people of all ages. Located on the Las Vegas Strip in New York-New York, its second floor is an enormous interactive games area. You'll see everything from deep sea fishing and wave runner games to pinball machines and Ping-Pong tables. Teens will enjoy shooting hoops, and there's even a mini-bowling alley. This is also a popular place to hold kid birthday parties, Bar Mitzvahs and sweet 16 celebrations.

Pole Position Raceway

This indoor karting facility is located minutes west of the Las Vegas Strip across from the Palms. It features a European-style track that is a quarter of a mile long, as well as electric karts with 18-horsepower motors. The motor racing experience is the most realistic you can have, as you'll need to use a lot of throttle and brake action to control the kart. Groups of up to 12 are allowed on the track. The facility also offers pool tables, air hockey and video games.

Speed -- The Ride

This wild roller coaster is part of the NASCAR Cafe Las Vegas Entertainment Center located on the Las Vegas Strip in the Sahara. It features two inversions and reaches a speed of 70 mph. Lasting only 45 seconds, it's a quick thrill---but afterward, race fans can explore the other offerings at the entertainment center, including a simulated driving experience in the Las Vegas Cyber Speedway and more than 120 video games in the Pit Pass Arcade.
