The Monongahela National Forest encompasses 910,155 acres in eastern West Virginia. It was established in 1915 and is part of the Allegheny Mountains. Spruce Knob marks the highest point in the state. The park contains 825 miles worth of trails, making it a wonderful place to hike. Top of the Ridge Cabin
Top of the Ridge is a giant cabin on its own private lot that features sweeping views of the surrounding area. The cabin has five bedrooms total and sleeps 12 guests. Three of the bedrooms have their own private bath. Amenities include pool table, hot tub, stone fireplace, wireless Internet and satellite television. It sits on six acres and guests are permitted to play paintball on the premises. Fly fishing, skiing, golf and swimming holes are all located nearby. The cabin is available for rent year round. Rates vary by season.

Germany Valley Overlook Cabins
These cabins feature panoramic views of Spruce Knob and the eastern slopes of the Allegheny Mountains. The three cabins are located far enough apart from each other that guests still feel a strong sense of privacy. The 170 acres of pastures that surrounds the cabins add to the sense that guests have really gotten away from it all. Each cabin features a large outdoor deck with Adirondack chairs to enjoy the views. The cabins also have fully-equipped kitchens, picnic tables and fire pits. They are available to rent year-round and several off-season specials are available through the website.
